WestJet’s bid for compulsory interest arbitration is a tactic which, if granted, would deliver to the Company a pyrrhic victory. It would leave in its wake a bitter workforce and a lost opportunity to arrest the decline of the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (“AME”) craft.
