Thank you for your consideration. I’ve enjoyed working as the Alternate AMFA-Alaska |

Working for Alaska Airlines for almost 5 years. The last 3 as an AMFA rep.. After watching many ASAP forms submitted, I am looking to help technicians understand the important role they play in the safe flights that we provide every day. Even with this position being after the event, I would hope to educate everyone on how to prevent any patterns in the future. |

My name is Carlos Rosado Santini, and I am a candidate for the Alternate ASAP ERC representative at Alaska Airlines. I’d like to start off by stating that I am a huge proponent of the technician ASAP program. Countless changes have been made to our processes because of voluntary self-disclosures that have increased compliance and safety among our members. As our fleet grows and we bring up our next generation of technicians, we must ensure that there is no fear in self disclosing and that we find constructive solutions to maintenance errors. As a Veteran of the Marine Corps, an active pilot and a 27-year employee of the industry, my experience in line maintenance, quality control, avionics and currently in maintenance control give me a well-rounded knowledge base to draw from. During my career I’ve been involved in establishing safety management systems at a regional airline and in organizing the maintenance control workgroup here at Alaska Airlines. As your ASAP Alternate ERC Representative, I look forward to listening to reasons and causes for all errors, formulating, with management and regulators, practical solutions to the systemic causes of the disclosed errors. It’s important to have a strong, knowledgeable voice in the Event Review Committee. I look forward to serving and being that voice. |
