February 21, 2022
Dear JetBlue Maintenance Controllers:
It has been nearly seven months since AMFA filed your signed authorization for representation cards with the National Mediation Board (NMB) on August 13, 2021, and we empathize with your frustration as we remain in a holding pattern awaiting the decision of the three Board Members on whether or not to grant your workgroup a representation election. Unfortunately, we did not anticipate the Board’s lengthy delay in investigating this unconventional process.
We hope the Board’s recent determination on February 16, 2022, accreting the Maintenance Controllers at Alaska Airlines into the Mechanic and Related Collective Bargaining Agreement is indicative that a decision from the Board on your workgroup is coming soon.
AMFA remains eager to represent your group and we appreciate your patience as we continue to navigate through this matter. Please stay tuned to the AMFA at JetBlue page of the AMFA National Website for updates on this representation dispute.
Sincerely,
Bret Oestreich
National President
