AMFA-HORIZON AIR MEMBERS VOTE TO RATIFY CONTRACT
CENTENNIAL, CO -- May 10, 2022 -- “AMFA-Horizon members made it crystal clear with a 93% majority vote to ratify the tentative agreement at Horizon Air, they believe that this industry-leading agreement is what they deserve for themselves and their families,” said AMFA National President Bret Oestreich.
“I extend my sincere appreciation for our members’ support for the Negotiating Committee during bargaining and for the professionalism shown by the AMFA-Horizon Air membership.”
After a previously negotiated agreement failed, members of the AMFA Negotiating Committee went back to the bargaining table. “The Negotiating Committee listened to the membership and worked diligently to achieve this second TA,” said Oestreich.
AMFA representatives say the workgroups at Horizon Air faced labor shortages going into negotiations.
“This TA represents a fair and equitable wage increase which compensates our members for their hard work and talent,” says Oestreich. “With the wage gains in this contract, Horizon will be able to hire and retain the talented workforce it needs while allowing the company to grow and prosper.”
This newly ratified contract is a regional industry-changing agreement with significant pay increases, industry-leading license premiums, shortened pay progression scale, and retroactive pay.
