| AMFA Victorious in the US Supreme Court |
|
On May 4, 2009, the US Supreme Court denied the petition for review brought by former Alaska Airlines mechanic Bernard Mackay, ending eight years of litigation against AMFA, and finally putting to rest the claims that were made on Mackay’s behalf by his attorneys at the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation, that he was “conscripted” into union membership, an argument that was never accepted by any of the courts that heard the case.
