The AMFA-SCA Negotiating Committee (“Committee”) is providing this update to the membership at Sun Country Airlines (“Sun Country”). This is the only official source of negotiating communications by the Committee.
The Parties met in Chicago, December 9–11, for the first mediated bargaining session following the conclusion of the government shutdown.
We are pleased to inform you that, at the conclusion of the third day of mediated bargaining, the Parties reached an Agreement-in-Principle (AIP) on the terms for a first collective bargaining agreement (CBA).
An AIP signifies the Parties have reached alignment on the terms of a first CBA but still need to finalize and convert the AIP into a cover-to-cover tentative agreement (TA) for your review and consideration. AMFA Legal will immediately begin working with Company counsel on the process of converting the AIP into a full TA. Once that is complete, AMFA will complete its internal processes required to deliver the TA to you for review. AMFA will then conduct an education process (i.e., roadshow) to present the TA to you and answer any questions you may have. Thereafter, you will cast your vote regarding ratification of the TA.
