MISSISSAUGA, ON – December 11, 2025 – The Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) announced today that its members at Jazz Aviation—both Line Technical Services (Jazz Line) and Jazz Technical Services (JTS)—have ratified new five-year collective bargaining agreements. Nearly 90% of eligible members voted, with strong approval across both groups.

“These agreements reflect the commitment of our negotiating teams and the strength of our members throughout months of aggressive bargaining,” said AMFA National President Bret Oestreich. “Our skilled aviation professionals stood together, and these results speak for themselves.”

Oestreich noted that the contracts deliver double-digit wage gains, strong scope protections, and work rules that respect the knowledge and dedication of AMFA-Jazz members, positioning Jazz Aviation as a leader among Canadian carriers.

Key improvements include:

  • Immediate wage increases of 19–40%, retroactive to Nov. 1, 2025
  • Average wage progression of 63% over five years
  • Annual scale increases of 3.25% (Years 2–3) and 3.5% (Years 4–5)
  • Elimination of pension disparities; company contributions now 6–8%
  • Industry-leading night shift premium with cash-bank conversion
  • Enhanced field assignment and travel pay; double time for forced assignments
  • Removal of all two-tier wage and benefit DOR references
  • Improved vacation structure
  • Reinstated Stat Bank conversion; double time for Christmas, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day

These agreements set a new benchmark for compensation and work-life balance in the Canadian airline industry. AMFA remains committed to raising standards and delivering contracts that reflect the vital work of the aviation professionals who keep Canada’s air system safe and reliable.
