Dear AMFA-Represented Members at Alaska Airlines & Future Hawaiian Members:
The IAM has yet again requested and been granted another extension by the NMB. This extension is for the Union’s response to the objections that both unions filed on September 16th. The continual requests for extensions by the IAM is viewed as a deliberate attempt to slow down the NMB Representation Election process and further divide our current and future
members.
The new deadline for both unions to submit their responses to the NMB is October 15th. We will continue to fight for your rights and proceed with the NMB process. All current delays have
been at the request of the IAM. AMFA has been prepared and ready to meet all deadlines that the NMB has presented.
The NMB election process will be a paper ballot, which will be mailed directly to each member based upon the address that you have on file with the company via Peoplesoft. We encourage
everyone to verify that your mailing address is current in Peoplesoft and update any changes immediately.
AMFAdelivers.org is a great website that allows members and future members to sign up for updates and view all the past updates that we have provided. We encourage everyone to visit the website and sign up for the updates. Please contact your respective ALR for any further clarification or questions.
Deadlines:
• October 15: Deadline for unions to submit their response to any objections that were submitted by the September 16th deadline.
