Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement and Integrated Seniority List Update
Oct 28, 2026

October 27, 2026

AMFA is proud to announce that we have reached an agreement in principle with Alaska Airlines on the terms of a Merger Transition Protocol Agreement (MTP). MTPs are a critical step towards beginning the Seniority List Integration (SLI) and Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement (JCBA) process. These agreements establish rules, schedules, timelines, reimbursement of funds and other issues related to the SLI and JCBA process.

AMFA and Alaska are finalizing the MTP document. Following execution of the MTP, AMFA will begin the SLI process with the previously elected Hawaiian Seniority List Committee. As a reminder, any negotiated SLI agreement will, similar to a JCBA, need to be ratified by the members prior to taking effect. Once the MTP is finalized and executed, we will provide additional details, including dates for the first SLI and JCBA meeting dates.

AMFA’s solidarity as a combined group is our greatest strength, especially when we stand together for a collective cause. Your AMFA Negotiation Committee is dedicated, motivated and determined to provide our members with an integrated seniority list and JCBA we can all be proud of, while also setting the stage for future negotiations. AMFA members’ dedication and commitment to aircraft safety and our craft raises our members above the industry. AMFA will continue to zealously represent all members at Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines as we work toward a JCBA.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to your ALRs or Regional Director with questions.

Sincerely,

Brandon Statfield, AMFA Local 14 ALR
Jeff Heard, AMFA Local 32 ALR
Earl Clark, AMFA Region I Director
