The Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) both represents members in the collective bargaining process as well as advocates on behalf of the craft.  In the transportation industry, each class or craft that is represented for collective bargaining must go through a certification process administered by the National Mediation Board (NMB). By organizing authorization card collection campaigns, AMFA supporters are actively seeking for a representation election so that AMFA can be recognized as their collective bargaining agent.  AMFA has no paid organizers and primarily utilizes grassroots campaigns started by volunteer organizers from within the group desiring to be represented by AMFA. AMFA has won certification elections for aircraft maintenance technicians and related classifications at multiple airlines and currently represents them in contract negotiations, grievances, and other cooperative programs.

If you wish for AMFA to request the National Mediation Board to conduct an investigation and a representation election at your carrier, please submit an Authorization for Representation Card.

Associate Membership is also available to personnel not employed by an AMFA-represented carrier who are actively involved in the aviation industry. Join as an Associate Member today!
