AMFA was certified at Calm Air on November 29, 2024, and the Association currently represents approximately 78 aircraft maintenance engineers and skilled trade groups.
November 29, 2024 -- Today, the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB) released the results of a representational vote for the maintenance bargaining unit at Calm Air, with AMFA winning by an overwhelming majority.

November 25, 2024 -- On November 19, 2024, the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB) authorized a vote to determine the certified bargaining agent for Calm Air maintenance employees. After conferral between the parties, the CIRB’s Election Returning Officer has determined that the vote will take place between 12:00 pm CST on November 27 and 12:00 pm CST on November 29.

October 9, 2024 -- Following successful certifications at L3 Harris MAS in 2022 and WestJet in 2023, AMFA proudly announces that after a grassroots organizing effort, the union filed a representation request with the Canada Industrial Relations Board on October 7, 2024, for AMEs and skilled trades at Calm Air.
