The IAM has imposed yet another delay in the ongoing process to secure a single union representative for our workgroup. The IAM has asked the National Mediation Board (NMB) for additional time -- until December 2, 2025 -- to respond to our October 15 position on the eligibility of certain Alaska AMTs. Despite AMFA's opposition, the NMB has granted the extension request.
AMFA opposes any delays in the representation election process. The attached letter was sent to the National Mediation Board on November 18, 2025, explaining AMFA's stance. Our position is clear: the NMB’s timelines and evidentiary standards should be enforced so that this election can move forward promptly and fairly.
