Dear AMFA Member,
Starting December 16, the National Mediation Board (NMB) will mail your official paper ballot for your upcoming representation election. This is your opportunity to make your voice heard at a very critical time for your future with AMFA.
Please watch your mailbox closely and cast your vote as soon as your ballot arrives. You will mail it back to the NMB in the envelope they have included with your ballot.
It’s important to understand this fact: This may be the most important vote of your career. Your decision will determine whether AMFA or IAM represents you going forward—shaping your work life, your rights, and your future in this industry. With AMFA, you have secured industry-leading wages and work rules. Those are not guaranteed under other unions.
Why Your Vote Matters
To protect the progress we have made together as AMFA, we have to vote. Our union is built by and for its members. Your coworkers are counting on everyone to stand up and make this decision together.

The NMB is mailing paper ballots to your address on file. When your ballot arrives:
- Open it immediately
- Follow the instructions carefully
- Return your vote right away
Voting promptly helps ensure your voice is counted and prevents delays or forgotten ballots. Let us be clear: Do not let someone else decide your future. Vote when you receive your ballot.
If you have any questions about voting or if you lose your ballot, your local rep will give you the NMB's phone number. The election is run solely by the NMB.
