February 23, 2022 -- The three members of the National Mediation Board (NMB) rendered their decision yesterday, on February 22, 2022, not to grant a separate craft or class of Maintenance Controllers at JetBlue and therefore not to hold an election to determine AMFA as your workgroup’s requested representative. We are deeply disappointed by the NMB’s decision following the nearly seven months wait since AMFA filed on your behalf with the NMB on August 13, 2021, in Case # CR-7230.
February 21, 2022 -- It has been nearly seven months since AMFA filed your signed authorization for representation cards with the National Mediation Board (NMB) on August 13, 2021, and we empathize with your frustration as we remain in a holding pattern awaiting the decision of the three Board Members on whether or not to grant your workgroup a representation election. Unfortunately, we did not anticipate the Board’s lengthy delay in investigating this unconventional process.
August 19, 2021-- On Friday, August 13, 2021, AMFA filed for a representation dispute on your behalf with the National Mediation Board (NMB) for the JetBlue Maintenance Controller work group. We have been assigned NMB Case No. CR-7230, and Investigator Josie G.M. Bautista has been assigned to the case.
August 13, 2021 -- Today, The Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) is proud to announce that it has filed for union representation with the National Mediation Board (NMB) on behalf of the Aircraft Maintenance Controllers at JetBlue. “AMFA is elated that this workgroup has placed its confidence in us as their craft specific union representation,” said Bret Oestreich, AMFA National Director.
