Dear New AMFA Members of Alaska/Hawaiian Airlines:
On February 25, 2025, the National Mediation Board (NMB) officially certified the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) as the collective bargaining agent for the aircraft maintenance professionals at Hawaiian and Alaska Airlines. On behalf of the officers and representatives of AMFA, I would like to welcome you to the Association. This Digital New Member Package contains information regarding the next steps to establish membership with AMFA.
Active members in good standing (MIGS) are entitled to attend Association meetings and negotiations, nominate and run for union office at the Local and National levels, exercise voting rights in union elections and referenda, submit contract proposals, and participate in all contract-related votes related to your respective agreement. To become an active MIGS and start exercising your rights as an AMFA member, please complete the following steps:
By doing so, you will have access to your AMFA#, MemberLink (under Member Resources), AMFA news, publications, negotiation updates, national officers, AMFA locals, and government agencies.
- Visit: www.amfanational.org
- Click Register in the upper-right corner
- Please leave the AMFA # field blank until a number is assigned
- Approval may take up to 72 hours (typically less than 24 hrs)
- Go to the AMFA National Website >> Member Resources >> MemberLink
- Get your AMFA Number by logging in to the National Website (top right corner next to your name)
- Select Sign Up Now and complete the registration
- Check your email to verify your email address
- Verify your contact information is correct in the database
Step 3: Complete and Submit New Member Forms
- Complete three forms:
- Upload forms to your MemberLink Account
- Select Forms >> Upload Document
- Select the form type from the dropdown menu
- Select the PDF file to be uploaded from your device
- Click Add
Important! The $100.00 Initiation Fee will be waived for all employees hired by February 25, 2026, the date of certification, provided you submit/upload these three documents by March 27, 2026.
As soon as your first dues payment is processed, you will receive your AMFA Membership Card to identify yourself as a member of AMFA. Your unique membership number (AMFA #) on this card is needed for voting and identification.
