AMFA National is conducting an election to fill the position of AMFA–Southwest Airlines (SWA) Appearance Technician (Cleaner/Utility) Negotiator. In accordance with Article XXIII, Section 3 of the AMFA Constitution, the Cleaner/Utility Negotiator must be a member of the Appearance Technician classification. This position will cease to exist after the date of signing of the collective bargaining agreement.
All active members in good standing under the Aircraft Appearance Technician collective bargaining agreement are eligible to vote in this election. Note: Any member whose membership dues, fees, and/or assessment obligations have not been reconciled is a member in bad standing and, therefore, is ineligible to vote.
The secret ballot election for this position will be conducted by mail. Ballots will be mailed to eligible voters on April 24, 2026. Any member who has not received a ballot or has spoiled their ballot must submit a written request for a duplicate ballot to elections@amfanatl.org by May 11, 2026. If a duplicate ballot is issued, only the replacement ballot will be counted.
The ballot tally will take place on May 22, 2026.
