The AMFA-L3 Harris MAS Negotiating Committee (the “Committee”) is providing this update to the membership at L3 Harris MAS (“L3”). This is the only official source of negotiating communications.
Since the last update, the parties have continued to work on the specifics of the transition from the existing CC-150 operation and the future state of operations under the STTC Contract and CC-330 program. We are happy to report that we have reached a Tentative Agreement (TA) that goes beyond the original scope of Appendix F and addresses concerns around the previously unknown elements of the CC-330 program and tasking assignments.
The final documents will be distributed shortly to every member in good standing for review and consideration over a period of fourteen (14) days. After the review period, members of your bargaining committee will present the documents and answer any questions you may have. These presentations are tentatively scheduled for the week of September 14, 2026. Once confirmed, the schedule will be communicated to ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate.
As was previously communicated, the new TA has many language and economic improvements designed to provide clarity and assurance for all our members through the next three (3) years and beyond. Job security for both Maintenance and OSS employees was a primary focus throughout the negotiations. We have secured commitments from L3 that guarantee the future transition of the entire Trenton workforce to the CC-330 program.
Your negotiating committee decided to develop the CC-330 Tasking Agreement now rather than defer it to 2027; this major undertaking was necessary to give you a clear picture of how you will be impacted as the fleet transition takes place. As a result of the additional work completed by the committee, you will now be able to vote with a full understanding of the Tasking Agreement, including all forms of compensation and requirements.
The calculation of damages arising from Arbitrator Patrick Kelly’s AAR Standby Award remains a topic of discussion between the parties. Ensuring adequate staffing for AAR missions is critical to the continued success of CC-150 operations and is also an important element of employees’ total compensation package. We hope to have a final settlement of the issue within the next several days.
Your negotiating committee thanks you for your support and patience as we recognize that this process has gone on longer than originally anticipated. The additional time spent developing the specifics of STTC Tasking Agreement was a worthy investment and will provide an established structure for all who will reap the benefits of the program.
If you have any questions on the TA or Tasking Agreement, please reach out to your local reps or join us at one of the presentations.
Fraternally,
AMFA-L3 Negotiating Committee
