December 19, 2019 -- The National Executive Council, with guidance from legal counsel, has terminated the Region II Director Recall Referendum. The Local 4 Local Executive Council (LEC) and SWA Airline Representative petitioned the NEC to conduct the recall referendum for the recall of Region II Director Wilber Abbott in November 2019. On December 15, 2019, Local 4 President Terry Arnold informed the NEC that another Local 4 member has come forward and has been identified as the individual responsible for the messages posted on the Airline Forum, the act for which the recall petition and allegations were was filed against Mr. Abbott.

June 23, 2016 -- AMFA National is conducting an election in accordance with Article VII of the AMFA Constitution to fill the following positions: National Director, Assistant National Director, National Secretary/ Treasurer, National Safety and Standards Director, Region I Director, and Region II Director.
2016 National Officer Election Candidates
May 31, 2016 -- Votes for the Primary AMFA – Southwest Airlines (SWA) Outsourcing Liaison Representative Election were tallied on May 31, 2016. TrueBallot Inc. conducted the vote and tally by use of the TeleVote® and WebVote® systems.
May 26, 2016 -- The Alternate AMFA-SWA Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) Event Review Committee (ERC) Representative was recently elected to the Primary position, effective July 1, 2016. Therefore, AMFA National is conducting an election to fill the Alternate position for the duration of the term. The Alternate Representative will serve in the event the Primary is unavailable. This position is anticipated to be part-time. The term of service for the Alternate will commence on July 1, 2016, and will expire at 11:59pm et, June 30, 2017, or upon termination of the program, whichever occurs first.
May 26, 2016 -- In an effort to provide AMFA members with basic information about candidates for union office, AMFA National has offered all candidates in this election an opportunity to submit a Candidate Profile along with their picture. Profiles were limited to 400 words and are unedited except for inappropriate content. AMFA National neither endorses any candidate for union office nor was any candidate given special treatment.

Southwest Airlines members of Locals 4, 11, 18, and 32 were allowed to submit names in nomination for this position. Following the close of the Willingness to Serve process of this election, there is only one candidate for this position: Larry Dildine.

Following the close of the Willingness to Serve process of this election, there is only one candidate for this position: Kevin Jurasinski.

The votes for the AMFA – Southwest Airlines Inspection Backfill Award Distribution Referendum were tallied on October 9, 2014. Ballots for this referendum were counted by AMFA National, and the ballot count was certified by a Notary Public. The results of the referendum are as follows...
