Today, the National Mediation Board (NMB) docketed AMFA’s single carrier application as NMB File No. CR-7625.
The carriers must provide an initial position statement by May 28, 2025, addressing current representation status, the total number of employees covered by this application, and any other issues it wishes to present.
AMFA and the IAM may submit responses to the carriers’ initial position statement by June 11, 2025.
These further steps will address the issue of whether Alaska and Hawaiian are a single carrier and the size and scope of the combined craft or class of Mechanics and Related Employees.
The NMB will then proceed to address the question of union representation.
