Dear Current and Future AMFA Members,
We’re reaching out with an important update on the process and timing as AMFA pushes forward toward a vote that will garner you the representation you deserve. As you know, delays have been frustrating, and unfortunately, we’ve hit another one – courtesy of the IAM.
On September 16, 2025, both AMFA and the IAM submitted objections to the eligibility list. The NMB originally set a firm deadline of September 30 for responses to these objections. While AMFA completed its analysis and submitted its petition well ahead of the deadline, the IAM petitioned for an extension until October 15, 2025, a request that was granted.
IAM has stalled this process by requesting extensions multiple times. Why the constant foot-dragging? It sure seems like a deliberate attempt to drag things out – again. Members should consider this important fact: Do you want a union that endlessly stalls, scrambling for more time to get organized and figure out what they’re doing?
AMFA hasn’t delayed once. We’re prepared, proactive and laser-focused on your best interests every step of the way. AMFA continues to work hard to deliver results for you – because that’s what strong representation looks like. This is just one more way AMFA delivers.
