Dear Team Members of Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines:
Thank you for participating in the recent representation election. The voting period has now closed for all participants, except those who were granted a replacement ballot by the National Mediation Board (NMB) due to lost or damaged ballots.
Late last month, severe winter weather in the Washington, DC area -- where the NMB’s offices are located -- led to federal agency closures and impacted NMB operations. Additionally, a lapse in government funding from February 2–3, 2026, temporarily shut down the NMB.
As a result of these circumstances, the vote tally originally scheduled for February 12 will now take place on February 24, 2026, beginning at 10 a.m. ET at the NMB office in Washington, DC.
The NMB is not extending the election voting period; however, duplicate ballots received after the original tally date will be accepted. All other election procedures remain unchanged.
