2024 National Convention

In accordance with Article XII, Section 1 of the AMFA Constitution, this letter shall serve as the official notice of the 2024 AMFA National Convention.
The delegates to the 2020 National Convention (aka 2021) voted to convene the 2024 National Convention in Austin, TX. The Convention will commence on Monday, May 6, 2024. Further information regarding National Convention location will be sent separately.
Election of Delegates: In accordance with Article XIX, Section 4 of the AMFA Constitution, Locals must elect their delegates for the 2024 National Convention within ninety (90) days of this notice. Reference Article XII, Section 4 of the AMFA Constitution to determine how many delegates your Local shall elect. Upon completion of this election, please submit your delegates and alternates to the National Secretary/Treasurer as soon as possible.
National Officer Nominations: In accordance with Article VII, Section 2 of the AMFA Constitution, each Local delegation may nominate one (1) candidate for each National Officer position at the National Convention. Because each Local delegation can only nominate one candidate per position, Locals should begin this process with adequate time to conduct a Local run-off election, if necessary.
Constitution Amendment Proposals: In accordance with Article XXV, Section 2 of the AMFA Constitution, all Locals shall have proposed amendments to the Constitution in the hands of the Rules Committee one-hundred twenty (120) days prior to the opening date of the Convention; this date is Sunday, January 7, 2024.
