The AMFA-Jazz Line and AMFA-Jazz Technical Services Negotiating Committees (the “Committees”) are providing this update to the membership at Jazz Aviation and Jazz Technical Services. This is the only official source of negotiating communications.
On October 15-17, 2025, representatives from the Company and the Union met in Vancouver to engage in collective agreement negotiations. Negotiations were led by AMFA Region IV Director Ian Evershed and AMFA General Counsel Lee Seham for the Union, and Jazz VP Employee Relations Kirk Newhook for the Company. Negotiations were also attended by Vancouver-based AMFA members.
The two AMFA Committees reached two separate comprehensive tentative agreements (TAs) for the Jazz Line and Jazz Technical Services maintenance employees, respectively, for their consideration.
Highlights of the two TAs include:
- Double digit wage increases that take effect November 1, 2025
- Additional increases of 3.25% in the second and third year of the agreement, and 3.5% in the fourth and fifth year of a five-year term
- Enhancement in pension benefits
- Elimination of all DOR references relating to wage and benefits
- Rationalization of vacation slots to ensure all earned vacation can be used
- Reintroduction of Stat Bank for all employees
The entire text of each TA will be sent to the two employee groups prior to any future ratification vote. Due to the length of the agreement, and the extensive nature of revisions that have been made, the distribution of the final text will be subject to a prior “clean up” review that will take approximately two weeks.
In addition, virtual road shows will be scheduled so that members can pose questions regarding the TAs to the AMFA negotiators, legal counsel, and economist who negotiated the agreement.
AMFA recognizes the diligence and good faith of the management representatives in working toward an agreement designed to achieve pay equity and the retention of our highly skilled members.
Thank you for your support.
Fraternally,
The AMFA Negotiating Committees
