Alaska Airlines Maintenance Controllers
National Mediation Board Representation Accretion
July 23, 2020 |
Dear Alaska Airlines Maintenance Controllers:
I would like to thank you for placing your trust and confidence in the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) in representing you. We applaud your grassroots organizing efforts and collection of Accretion Authorization Cards from your workgroup in favor of AMFA. We are honored and promise to work hard on your behalf as your collective bargaining agent.
AMFA filed on your behalf with the National Mediation Board (NMB), and we received a docket number on July 14, 2020, for NMB to perform further review and investigation on accretion representation for your work group.
For those of you who are not familiar with AMFA, we are the only craft-specific, independent aviation union representing aircraft maintenance technicians within the entire industry. Our union is member-controlled, and laser focused on craft-specific and related issues. We represent the mechanic and related class and craft at Alaska Airlines, Horizon Air, and Southwest Airlines (including Maintenance Controllers), many of whom work beside you on property.
If you need more information, or you have a pressing matter, please call our National Office at 303-752-AMFA (2632). For more information regarding AMFA and the airline industry, please visit the AMFA National Website at www.amfanational.org.
In Solidarity,
Bret Oestreich
National Director
