Your Negotiating Committee concluded a six-station roadshow to conduct face-to-face meetings with the membership regarding the AMFA-Horizon Air (QX) tentative agreement (TA) and ratification vote. From February 10-19, AMFA leaders visited Portland, Boise, Spokane, Seattle, Paine Field, and Redmond to inform the membership about how this TA was reached, to answer your questions, and to hear your concerns. The complete text of the TA was sent to the affected membership via company email last week for your review, and we presented the term sheet of each area of the TA followed by a Q&A session during the roadshow.
We received a plethora of great questions and deeply concerning feedback regarding QX Maintenance Operations, tangible optics of staffing shortages at your station, and the grave concerns of losing both new and tenured mechanics to other entities in aviation at ratio of 4-to-1 systemwide.
The AMFA-QX TA Ratification Referendum kicked off yesterday, February 21, 2022, and will conclude on March 15, 2022. Any eligible voter who has not received their personalized voting instructions by March 10 should contact the Director of Administration at 720-744-6629 or elections@amfanatl.org.
Local 14 and AMFA National have each developed invaluable communication tools to provide the membership with crucial information and important updates. Please take the time to register with both websites and download both smartphone apps, National and Local 14, that are compatible with Apple and Android devices.
We would like to thank the membership for your unwavering support of the Negotiating Committee during this process, and please stay tuned for additional details.
Fraternally,
Your Negotiating Committee
