The AEI Executive Board continues to work on focus items. With the recent change in the Secretary General position, discussions continue on better defining the job duties and responsibilities with a focus on evening out the workload.
The AEI promotional film is not complete and has been formatted in English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, and Chinese. These can all be found on the AEI website or directly on YouTube.
The Annual Congress preparations are now complete and promotional information should be out soon detailing the established agenda. This year’s Congress is hosted by our Icelandic affiliate, Flugvirkjafelag Islands FVFI, on October 11-14, in Reykjavik, Iceland.
After much discussion, it was decided that we would promote the Individual Membership to AEI in an effort to help those without an affiliated organization. The new application form has been posted on the AEI website. Keep in mind that as an AMFA member you are already an AEI member, so it’s not necessary for any of us to apply. If you have friends at other non-AMFA represented carriers that would like to join, they can fill out the application. There is a 50 Euro per year fee, about $56 USD, that is required to be paid on a bi-annual basis for membership. The summer edition of “Release to Service” is also posted on the AEI website, so take a look.
