The AMFA National Executive Council has begun the process to fill the position of National Vice President, which recently became vacant. This vacancy will be filled in accordance with Article VIII, Section 1 of the AMFA Constitution by conducting a special election.
The term of office will commence on the first day of the month following certification of the election and will expire on October 7, 2024. The duties for this position may be found in Article VI, Section 4 of the AMFA Constitution. At this time, it is anticipated that this position will serve on a part-time, as needed basis.
Candidates for this position must be a member in good standing, an active member for a period of not less than two years and be free of all assessments and fines to the National and Local, per Article VII, Section 1 of the AMFA Constitution.
Each Local may submit the name of one (1) active member in good standing as a nominee for this position in accordance with Article VII, Section 2 of the AMFA Constitution. The deadline for Locals to submit the name of their nominee to AMFA National or to report the need to conduct a Local run-off election is January 20, 2022.
AMFA National will begin the process of conducting an election for this position as soon as all Locals have submitted the name of their nominee or indicated that they do not have a name to submit.
